They’re cashing in on Christ and that is simply wrong. He never taught anyone to do that. He DID say to give up all your possessions and follow him.

That was what religion was all about in the first place!
If religion wasn’t a money-making scheme, popes should be poor, and not have a fortune to back him up, priests wouldn’t need to get paid, Buildings would have been built by the priests alone, and we wouldn’t have all those Bibles on the market, they’d be free.

I think there’s a point where it becomes a LOT manipulative, and more than a little hypocritical.
Still, there are many devout Christian people who simply wish to share things they have learned. Today, in our society/economy, you can’t simply walk around “sharing”, unless you are wealthy enough that you don’t need to work to support your family. So, these people sell books, etc. That way, they make a living, and—as you put it—”spread the message”.

Well if those people are dumb enough to give their hard earned money away to the “church” then let em. No church on earth is gettin mine. And those who make products and sell them to “spread the word” are genius. They’re getting rich of the weak minded holy rollers who have fallen for the ultimate brainwashing. Ha ha jokes on them.
